2025 Tartan Day Parade
RSCDS New York will be marching in the 2025 Tartan Day Parade! Come see us dance up 6th Avenue.
RSCDS members are welcome to join our march.
Jeannie Carmichael Night
Our annual Jeannie Carmichael Night will be December 19th, 7pm, at Metro Baptist Church. Torrent will be providing live music for the dances.

2024 December Dance Social
The RSCDS is holding a Scottish Country Dance Social on Sunday, December 8th, from 3:00 - 5:30 pm. We hope you’ll join us in Brooklyn for winter-themed dances!
Location: Cullen Hall at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (199 Carroll Street, Brooklyn NY 11231)
Time: 3:00-5:30pm on Sunday, December 8th
Fee: pay-what-you-will, with a suggested donation of $10

Class Series Begins
Join us for our September - October Scottish Country Dance classes! Each series is seven classes, which teach you the foundations of Scottish Country Dance, along with classic and modern dances. Dancers of all ages, experience, and skill levels are welcome! Attendance at each class is encouraged but not required.

NYC Tartan Day Parade
The meeting point will be on 44th st (to be confirmed) to the east of 6th Avenue from 1pm onwards. The Parade will start at 2pm and is finished by 4-4.30pm. More information on the parade can be found at https://www.nyctartanweek.org/.
You can walk or dance, entirely your choice. The dance is easy and we will run through it as we wait for the parade to start. It is such fun! 🏴🎶

Halloween Party
All are invited to the Dance Scottish New York annual Halloween party! Costumes encouraged, but not required. Be there - if you dare!

TAC Summer School 2023
Plans are well underway for the 50th TAC Summer School in 2023 when we meet at the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The Teachers' Conference Weekend will be July 28-30, 2023
Summer School will be held from Sunday, July 30 - Sunday, August 6, 2023
Annual General Meeting
Voting is restricted to branch members. The meeting is held during the break in our regular class evening.
Tartan Day Parade
Walk or dance with us to celebrate the RSCDS 100 year anniversary.
We will be in Section 3 (on 44th St between 5th and 6th Av), lining up from 1:15pm, being in place for 1:45pm and ready to march at 2pm.

Dancing with caller! No experience required.

RSCDS NJ Branch Workshop and Tea Dance
If you are stuck for a holiday gift, or just want to plan ahead to have something to brighten up those dark days of winter, why not attend the RSCDS NJ Workshop and Tea Dance at The Woodland in Maplewood, NJ on March 11, 2023? It's conveniently located close to highways and a block or so from a stop on the Morris & Essex rail line out of NYC.
A morning Workshop with Steven Rusche will be followed by lunch and an afternoon Tea Dance with great music from Terry Traub, Anne Hooper with Malka Traub Pomerantz.
