Day: Thursdays (see the schedule below for exceptions)
Time: 7pm-10pm
Fees: $12 per member / $15 per non-member (half-price for students) per class, or a 10-class dance card at $100 for members / $130 for non-members (can be purchased any class evening). Pay with cash or check when you arrive for class.
Location: Metro Baptist Church (410 West 40th Street, New York, NY 10018)

All levels of dancers, including complete beginners, are welcome! Check out the Frequently Asked Questions for more info on Scottish country dancing, what to wear, and what to expect from your first class. The focus for the first half of each class, 7:00-8:15, is on beginners, while the second part of the evening, 8:30-10:00 pm, accommodates beginners for the first dance and then focuses on a social program for the more experienced dancers.

• June 13: Class Party

• July 11 - August 15: Summer dancing

Covid-19 Procedures

1. All participants must show proof of full vaccination.

2. Mask wearing is optional.

3. We will need your phone number in the unlikely event we will need to do a contact trace.

4. Everyone must sign a copy of the assumption of risk form (venue requirement); text is below. Forms will be at the table at the door.

5. Bring your own water; we can’t provide food or water.

6. Come prepared to smile and have fun even if we can’t see your smile!

Assumption of Risks and Release of All Claims

I, _______________________, hereby acknowledge that I am fully aware of the risks associated with any indoor activities during the time of Covid-19. I further acknowledge that I am fully aware of the risks associated with participating in dance classes in the Sanctuary of Metro Baptist Church. I represent that I am participating in these dance classes with full knowledge of these risks, and that I am assuming all risks of any infection that may result from my participating in those dance classes. I hereby release Metro Baptist Church and its staff and employees, and any temporary personnel of Metro who may be involved in these dance classes, from any and all claims of any kind whatsoever, now or in the future, that I may have as a result of these dance classes. I understand that signing this Assumption of Risks and Release of All Claims is a condition precedent to my being allowed to enter the building at 410 West 40th, and that by entering the building I further affirm the validity of all statements made in this Acceptance of Risks and Release of All Claims.
