- RSCDS Boston
- The Boston Branch of the RSCDS is the oldest outside the U.K. Classes are held at various places in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and New York State. The Branch presents a Highland Ball in May and holds a Summer School in July. In November, it presents a concert of music and dance.
- The Strathspey and Reel Society of New Hampshire
- A non-profit organization devoted to learning and performing Scottish music. There are members all over the world, and monthly gatherings in Concord, New Hampshire, often draw 50 or more enthusiasts of Scottish music and song.
- RSCDS Buffalo
- Each year the teachers and elected officers of the Buffalo Branch arrange for the following activities: *Weekly class instruction for September through May with Certified RSCDS Teachers *Workshop with Dinner and Ball in September *A Memorial Dinner and Ball honoring the birthday of Robert Burns in January *Public dance demonstrations Beginning dancers are accepted at the beginning of the dancing season and again following the January Burns Dinner and Ball.

- The Ithaca Scottish Country Dancers
- The Ithaca Scottish Country Dancers meet on the Cornell University campus Tuesday evenings during the Academic Year and at the Senior Citizens Center on Court Street in the summer.

- Pinewoods Summer Camp, Plymouth, MA
- Pinewoods is a traditional dance and music camp whose user groups provide weekend and week long sessions, mostly for adults, with some family sessions. It is located between two ponds near Plymouth, Massachusetts.
The Thistle School Held on the campus of Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC, the Thistle School of Scottish Country Dance provides instruction in the correct techniques and manner of Scottish Country Dancing, the historic and contemporary social dancing of Scotland. Teachers at the school are certificated by the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS).
