New York Branch classes are held weekly in Manhattan on Thursday evenings (7:30pm-10:00pm) during the fall, winter, and spring. RSCDS affiliate group Scotia Dancers holds classes in Manhattan on Monday evenings and there is a Brooklyn class on Tuesday evenings. Please see our links page for other nearby SCD groups.
Check out the Frequently Asked Questions for more info on Scottish country dancing, what to wear, and what to expect from your first class.
$50 per series
(Series fee does not include party nights, which are charged at the single-class rate below; see Schedule for dates.)
Registration for Spring 2018 is closed. Check this page around midsummer for the fall schedule.
The basic class is for newer dancers and is taught progressively week to week, so dancers must sign up for a complete series no later than the second week of the series to participate. If you are a new dancer who cannot commit to a series (usually 9 classes) or would like to try out Scottish country dancing when series registration is closed, please see Scotia Dancers.
